JOB SUMMARY



  • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all aspects of the Firm’s financial operations and functions. The position will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and working closely with the Firm’s Managing Partner, Senior partners, and partners. 

  • The CFO would be responsible for providing the management with strategic advice in connection with a variety of cutting-edge activities, such as Alternative Fee Arrangements, rate negotiations, Counsel compensation, competitive intelligence, practice group efforts, and projects designed to position the Firm for financial and operational success.

  • The CFO will ensure the report and advice on the financial status of the Firm by analyzing the Clients’ billing positions, invoicing, collections and expenses, and directing the accounting and activities such as monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements; establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods and procedures, policies and principles; coordinating and completing annual audits, staff payroll administration, and other accounting activities in CRWC using the right accounting software.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversees budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long-range forecasting, and insurance activities for the Firm.

  • Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on the Firm’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth.

  • Coordinates tax reporting programs and Client’s relations activities.

  • Analyzes consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

  • Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the Firm's annual report.

  • Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the Firm’s policies and operations.

  • Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole Firm and determines their financial impact.

  • Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.

  • Assisting with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.

  • Assuring legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities for the Firm.

  • Reviewing financial reports for ways to reduce costs.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES



  • Business Perspective

  • Build commercial awareness, share knowledge and relevant financial information with employees, management team as required and during the ‘know how sessions’ (i.e. Wednesday and Friday meetings, firm’s induction programs)

  • Understanding of firm’s budgets and responsibility for the budget monitoring and management

  • Proactive in ensuring that financial data and information are up to date and accurate and provide reports as necessary

Technical / Professional 



  • Keep up to date with technology, firm’s tools, templates, and protocols relevant to the position

  • Proven knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting standards, Laws and Regulations, QuickBooks Accounting Software & MS Office

  • Ability to delegate appropriate tasks to assistants.

REQUIREMENTS



  • Minimum of BSc in Accounting or any Business-related field

  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor / Officer, or Finance Manager

  • Appropriate certifications in Accounting FieldICAN, ACCA is a must have.
