Overall Objectives

Responsible for performing nutrition-related duties including feed formulations, feed ingredient testing, field research on egg production and shell quality, interacting with employees in various areas of farms management, and liaison with sales and technical staff of vendors in the feed additive industry.

JOB ANALYSIS

• Work closely with the resident doctors and feed mill section on the diet of birds


• Formulate feeds


• Calculate and access the relative Nutritional values of various feeds by ensuring the raw materials are of good quality by studying the nutritional requirements of the birds at different ages.

Qualities

• Self-Motivated


• Have a degree qualification and experience.


• The poultry feed nutritionist must have Excellent IT & Numeracy skills to be able to calculate food ratio.


• Strong Communication Skills


• Able to write reports and give good records.


• Must have at least four years’ Experience in formulating diet and providing dietary advice for poultry farms (Commercial Layers)

Must have:

• Degree in Nutrition


• Animal/Vet Science


• Medical Science or Other related courses.

Candidate must have at least four (4) Years of Experience
