Job Description
Our client, a major player in the Oil and Gas sector, wishes to recruit for the position of Tender/Bidding Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate tender documents daily in order to select tenders to be sent to sales force.
- Lead the kick-off meeting with Sales and marketing to define deadlines and specific requirements of the tender.
- Coordinate the required economical approvals and technical documentation
- Monitor tender progression and deadlines
- Perform the final checks to ensure the quality of the documentation submitted to the customer.
- Manage post-award processes respecting timeline
- Respect procedures related to tender and post award processes
- Update and manage Vendor register.
Key Accountabilities
- Assists with the development and maintenance of standardized tender templates and documentation.
- Compiles and maintains a list of qualified vendors, especially as related to planned tenders.
- Assists in the preparation of initial tender documentation and coordinates obtaining the required approvals.
- Liaises with the User Department on an ongoing basis with respect to Tender requirements and Tender status.
- Corresponds with vendors in conjunction with the tender process as required, ie, non-disclosure agreements, confirmation of interest, etc
- Assists in preparation and/or review of Tender Documentation Packages comprising of Instructions to Bidders, Contract Form, General Terms Conditions, Bid Forms, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is required.
- Demonstrated experience in Tender processes - RFI's, RFQ's and RFP's.
- General Procurement Contracting
Skills.
- Experience in using computerized Procurement applications (ERP) with a good understanding of how they work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
