Review and reconcile general ledger entries for tax implications
Ensure compliance, timely filing and remittance of all taxes and levies (such as Expatriate PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, ET, business premises levy, development levy, etc.) within government time frame.
Manage relationships with tax authorities and client's and support all tax audits.
Provide comprehensive reports on every tax audit exercise and give regular status updates on tax cases, remittances, levies, fees, payments to agents.
Be abreast with all tax regulations and new promulgation / enactments and advise clients accordingly.
Ensure all clients tax queries and correspondences are responded to, and appropriate steps are taken to avoid penalties due to non-compliance.
Qualifications
First Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Professional Qualification is an advantage e.g, ICAN, ACCA, CITN
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years cognate experience in a similar role.
Audit, Accounting and Tax experience from Audit/Tax Consulting firm is an added advantage.
The Person Must:
Be proactive and have excellent organizational skills.
Have problem-solving and analytical skills.
Vast in the use of Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Quickbooks, ERP etc
