Job Description

• We are seeking an energetic and reliable day porter to perform day-to-day building maintenance at our company facility.


• Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common room areas, restocking bathrooms and responding to all cleaning emergencies.


• The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.


• You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and passengers, offering answers to questions and running their errands when working at the hotel


• Carry luggage of the departing guests or travelers to the hotel’s lobby or departure area.


• Ensure that travelers or guests staying at the hotel leave safely during their check- out procedures.


• Assist front desk staff with answering calls and making any necessary transfers to the appropriate people.


• Assist the customer service crew to set up any upcoming events and update any signs.


• Park guests’ vehicles in some instances and retrieve them when the need arises.


• Assist other employees by running their errands such as moving stock and delivering items when necessary.


• Carry and label guests’ luggage with tags


• Sweep and mop floors of the front office/ lobby and vacuum carpets


• Ensure building entrance is free of clutter at all times


• Direct guests to the reception area or the appropriate office/room


• Arrange taxi services upon request


• Run errands for guests and employees


• Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs


• Report damages, call technicians and monitor repairs


• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies


• Comply with health and safety regulations


• Follow evacuation rules in case of emergencies

Requirements

• High School Diploma / OND / HND / B.Sc Degree or other relevant qualifications required


• 2- 3 years porter experience.


• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.


• Must be reliable and professional.


• Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.

Salary

N30,000 - N40,000 Monthly (negotiable).
