Job Description



  • We are looking for Factory Manager to provide leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight to the facility, which includes all production operations and the related support functions directly or indirectly (Engineering, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain/ Warehousing, Procurement, Technical Services, OE). This Job is based in Nigeria.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the site.

  • Develop and execute operating plans that lead to the achievement of the site and product goals.

  • Provide direction and leadership for all site operations including but not limited to: Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Materials Management, Technical Services, Engineering and EHS.

  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including but not limited to other areas within the company’s supply network, external suppliers, local community and political entities, colleagues, and legal organizations.

  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through effective leadership and management.

  • Support and foster operational excellence across all functions – including continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

  • Ensure ethics and integrity through compliance / risk management.

  • Support and actively enable strategic acquisitions and/or partnerships as required.

  • Make effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact both short and long-term site goals,

  • Create, establish and maintain an environment that encourages teamwork, empowerment and commitment at the site.


Requirements/ Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain (preferably packaging).

  • At least 5 years directly related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including at least 3 years’ experience leading a major manufacturing, quality operations or supply chain function in a manufacturing plant.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. English fluency essential.

  • Demonstrated leadership, management and technical capabilities; a successful track record developing strong leaders.

  • SAP or related program experience is a plus.
