Job Summary



  • We are currently recruiting for a great Business Development Officer who will scale up our logistics business.

  • Preferred candidate must be able to see opportunities and ensure these opportunities are well driven and bring in good turn around in terms of financial.


Job Description



  • Identify partnerships and opportunities targeted at developing sales from various FMCGs companies.

  • Must continue to develop strategies to create awareness for the Company’s services as well as win business to increase sales revenue.

  • Gather intelligent presentations and tenders that will aid the company in contract wining.

  • Gather information and network with major players and decision makers in the FMCG Industry

  • Develop strategies to forecasts the grow sales and profit targets for the business with new clients

  • Develop field sales action plans for improved sales performance, identifying marketing opportunities, market requirements, and build customer database based on company’s client’s market niche.

  • Manage key accounts to meet/exceed targets relating to revenue growth activities, profit margin, sales, customer retention and customer acquisition, generates key account performance report weekly.

  • Regularly visit assigned existing accounts validating our service levels and develop new revenue streams

  • Develop and maintains profitable relationship with all cclient and with all stakeholders

  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly time-phased reports on achievement and activities for management information and generate progress report on sales and business volume targets from the sales data


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Minimum of B.Sc Degree in Marketing. Logistics or any other related discipline from a reputable higher institution.

  • Candidate must have at least 4 years relevant experience in similar role, four which must be spent within the Logistics Business

  • Must have an outgoing and convincing personality

  • Knowledge of Operations of the Logistics Industry and penetration.

  • A deep understanding of marketing principles in Sales of Logistics business

  • Good communications skills and must be able to speak with a diverse range of prospective clients- varying in size, industry and business model

  • Good negotiation and persuasive skills.
