Job Competency Requirement
- Ability to work with the Solar Business Manager to understand client’s power needs, conduct detailed site audits/inspections, and design custom solutions to meet the client’s needs/objectives.
- Ability to produce comprehensive technical and commercial offers.
- Ability to perform system costing in coordination with the procurement, E&C departments and other internal key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage the preparation of bids, proposal content, and conformance to Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
- Ability to assist in market research and identify solar energy projects in Africa.
- Ability to review technological trends in the local and global energy sector.
- Ability to liaise with regulatory and governmental institutions as required and understanding of REA/NEP project will be an added advantage.
Qualification Requirements
- B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in solar sales roles, preferably in the renewable energy or power industry, installing and/or maintaining solar systems with verifiable clientele.
- Computer proficiency required, creating spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Software Programs (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in particular) and use of software like HOMER, Pvsyst and Helioscope.
- Excellent oral & writing skills.
- Self-motivated individual that demonstrates a sense of ownership with a high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Passionate about the quality of workmanship and team work.
- Must be ready to travel across Nigeria and understands the south-west and north-central market needs and market demography.
