- Management of the Farm Inventory ledger, daily monitoring of the transactions recorded, and monthly reconciliation of the Inventory module with the General ledger.
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to accounting.
- Protecting the Company's margins through control of farm operational costs and maximization of income.
- Coordinating daily accounting activities of the business
- Ensuring the books of account are all balanced and ready for management presentation.
- Putting together all the different account balance of each unit in the organization.
- Managing Accounts payable and receivable
- Monthly reports on Farm Revenue against budget and review of the Cost of Sales.
- Train and manage performance of other account staff
- Payroll preparation and administration
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Managing accounting software used by Greatland Farms.
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc / B.A in Accounting or related courses.
- 3- 6 years’ experience.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Professional membership of ICAN is an added advantage
- M.Sc/ MBA is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- An analytical mind with strategic abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
