JOB DESCRIPTION
Department - Cargo Operations
Job Summary /Objective:
- The staff will be responsible for shipment assessment and raising of shipment assessment advice (light parcels, bulky shipments, household items and charters etc)
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT
- HND/B.Sc in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd class honours.
- MUST have completed NYSC programme.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Core Skills
- 100% inspection of items to be contracted on waybill
- Properly identify, classify, mark, label and document shipment.
- Ascertain and advice the customer on the appropriate packaging required
- Correct price allocation of waybill types
- Raise payment advice for the customer to make payment
- Ensure proper / detailed description of items on the assessment advice or where not practicable use “as per attached list”. A copy of such list should accompany the waybill.
- Tagging and marking of waybills
A. Supervise porters on proper packaging of shipments as advised in (b) above
