The driver managers will be responsible for overseeing the activities of their team of drivers. They ensure that everyone is working safely and efficiently, and they may also be involved in recruiting new drivers or training current employees on best practices.

Driver managers must have strong leadership skills and a clear understanding of managing people effectively. 

Principal Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train and assess drivers and their qualifications as per driving laws.


• Coordinate with drivers, staff and management to hold meetings and resolve issues.


• Maintain costs and profits within the budget.


• Manage records of personnel, expenditures and of government rules and driving regulations.


• Coordinate on a regular basis with transportation staff and authorities.


• Assess cars and drivers, manage maintenance and arrange for quality vehicles and personnel when needed.


• Arrange for onsite periodical inspections of vehicles in use.


• Develop amiable, genuine and supportive relations with drivers on a personal and professional level and collaborate with other departments to solve their problems.


• Coordinate with drivers to Ensure timely pickup and delivery.


• Keep abreast with latest technologies to enhance company output.


• Address driver communications and provide required data to drivers.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND or BSC academic qualification


• 2-3 years Post NYSC experience


• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision


• Ability to influence, and persuade drivers


• Be able to relate with drivers in the various parks across Lagos and Abuja
