Job Description
Job Purpose
To drive the growth strategy of the Digital Commerce division through:
- Market Development - Identifying, targeting, and developing new and untapped markets;
- Channel development - Enriching the touchpoints clients and their consumers will use to engage the services offered.
- Product Development - Ideating new products and product extensions primarily using platform ecosystems
- To achieve revenue growth, business profitability, customer growth, and Africa-focused geographic expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Digital Commerce business growth and sales strategy.
- Develop new revenue lines across geographies and products.
- Develop and manage new initiatives for defending, diversifying, and growing the Digital Commerce business.
- Manage client and customer relationships, by using account teams to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Drive the ideation, design, and deployment of new Digital Commerce products – Value Added Services products and API Marketplace products.
- Work with the Finance teams to set and manage revenue budgets for the Digital Commerce business.
- Takes responsibility for implementing formal development frameworks for a substantial department, while informally coaching and mentoring others throughout the organization.
- Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
- Set short, medium, and long-term objectives and take responsibility for implementing and coordinating performance management systems for a substantial department within the organization.

Learning & Growth:
Education and Experience
Academic Qualification(s):
- Good First Degree (preferably in a Technology related discipline).
Professional Qualification(s):
- Possession of additional professional qualifications in business will be an advantage.
Experience (Number of relevant years):
- 10 years of experience in the financial technology industry.
- 5 years of experience and a good understanding of consumer payments covering all or at least two of Telecommunications (Airtime and Data) Account to Account / P2P Transfers, and Bill Payments (Utilities, Education, Betting, Entertainment, and similar industries).
- In-depth understanding of payments.
- An understanding of the Interswitch Products and business is an added advantage.
