Job Title: Assistant Store Supervisor


Reporting to: Store Supervisor


Purpose of the role: The incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, including product availability and pricing. Other duties entail managing the staff and customer services and controlling finances. They also will train new employees and schedule shifts as they give a comprehensive report to their manager.


Roles and Responsibilities



  • Ensures that all reports, cash, and receipts are entered correctly and completed.

  • Ensures proper updates of the inventory

  • Coordinates and manages training programs for store workers

  • Ensures adherence to certain legal provisions and market regulations

  • Oversees daily operations such as issuance of customer receipts, shift rotation, closing records, and bank transactions.

  • Ensures all daily transaction aligns with the information on the inventory sheet

  • Ensures recommendations on how to improve store operations.

  • Ensures the store is conducive and comfortable for shoppers

  • Responsible for 100 % price label accuracy.

  • Check the price accuracy by test purchases, especially after price changes.

  • Check the deliveries from the Warehouse and direct suppliers and report any delivery mistakes.

  • Responsible for all books, reports, and forms in the store.

  • Train new staff members and schedule shifts.


Required Experience and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree/ Higher National Diploma in social sciences, arts, or any related field.

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment where teamwork and self-motivation were critical

  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

  • Ability to manage a team relationship and productive work environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills

  • Professional, client-service-oriented, and positive representative of the firm

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy


Remuneration


N190,000 monthly.
