The Role

The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the company’s offerings, functions, and processes and assisting to proffer solutions and closing sales.

Job Description



  • Identify, engage, and onboard deal makers (Partners) that would generate leads for the business.

  • Develop and implement a robust strategic recruitment approach, process to identify qualified partners.

  • Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas.

  • Continuously engage and work with OEMs and trading partners with underperforming products in our portfolio to grow the visibility of the products within their target markets.

  • Support the technical, and engineering teams on their project projections sales calls by providing sales research and product knowledge expertise.

  • Build business development plans containing the services, go-to-market plans, price & product positioning for each of the products within the portfolio. 

  • Grow good working relationships with new prospects and transfer the connections to the technical and engineering team once a project is agreed.

  • Continually facilitate training on what CaTS offerings to partners and end-users.

  • Liaising with existing clients and onboarding new clients

  • Preparing tenders, proposals, and quotations

  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales support

  • negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions

  • Reviewing cost and sales performance

  • Attending trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings

  • Ensuring that sales targets are met


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in either electrical, mechanical engineering, or any related course

  • Minimum of five (3-4) years of relevant work experience in engineering product of service sale (Preferable service sale)

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.

  • The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.

  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good leadership and team working skills.
