ACCOUNTANT

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers 


• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures


• Managing income and expenditure accounts


• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data


• Filing and remitting taxes and other regulatory obligations


• Working with the financial and accounting software used by the company

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with accounting software and data entry


• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS standards that is relevant to the agriculture industry


• Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets


• Ability to work independently


• Analytical skills


• Proficiency in Tally, SAGE ERP, and/or other accounting packages. Proficiency in Excel


• 2-3 years experience in Accounting


• B.Sc/HND in Accounting


• Must be a certified chartered Accountant (Associate of ICAN or ACCA)
