Summary:


Marine support to TUCN Offshore sites:

All TUCN offshore locations, exploration activities, projects and other marine related activities as directed by the affiliate Marine Authority.


All watercraft of interest to TUCN (Construction vessels, MODU’s, OIMR, PSVs, AHT(S)/terminal tugs, security, Accommodation Vessels, Barges, crew boats work boats etc.)


Base and offices of vessel operators.


Main Logistics sites : OML 130, Onne Port, in Port Harcourt or LILE Base in Lagos.




The Offshore Marine Superintendent assists the Affiliate Marine Authority in providing expertise in the specialist field of marine engineering and operations in support of TUCN marine activities


Responsibilities:


Technical assistance:



  • Provide Marine expertise services as directed by the Affiliate Marine Authority to all TUCN departments (GSR, Projects, ECP, Drilling, Production, General Services and HSE) concerning marine related activities.

  • Partake in technical aspects of call for tenders (CFTs) involving procurement of marine services.


Marine Assurance:



  • Implement Affiliate Marine Assurance plan under direction of Affiliate Marine Authority

  • Assist with all marine auditing and inspection requirements, which includes auditing all types of offshore support vessels and shore based technical support organizations.

  • Conduct OVID inspections in line with OCIMF protocol. o Implement Affiliate Marine Vessel Entry Permits regime.

  • Implement Dynamic Positioning (DP) system assurance for DP vessels.

  • Implement Affiliate Marine fleet monitoring for HSE compliance and operational excellence through physical presence on board vessels while in service and in port.

  • Coaching contractor personnel to introduce and maintain best practices in their operations.


Method:



  • Assist with the development of marine procedures.

  • Prepare and issue anomaly and incident reports.

  • Propose anomaly corrective actions and monitor implementation.

  • Provide technical feedback for Service Quality Meetings with Contractors.


Requirement:



  • Class 1 Master or Chief Engineer certificate (STCW95) for seagoing offshore support vessels or MODU’s

  • 10 years’ experience as Chief Officer/Captain or 2nd Engineer/Chief Engineer on Offshore Vessels (AHTS, PSV, IMR) with DPO or DP technicians’ certificate.

  • Hold valid OVID inspector accreditation.

  • Proven record of achievement within marine operations.

  • Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English.
