Job Description
The Head of People Nigeria is responsible for driving and supporting human capital strategy and high-value HR processes through all organization departments. This includes aligning business objectives with employee management objectives within the assigned workgroup or departments. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives.
You will also develop and execute HR strategy supporting business objectives, providing expertise and guidance in culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
- Implement effective performance management systems – assess competency and culture fits in employee
- Manage and track employee benefits
- Implement and develop Preboarding, Onboarding, and Outboards
- Manage office processes and office inventory.
- Manage and track onboarding employee's documents (NDA, Contracts, Offer Letters, etc.)
- Support in the design and realization of company events.
- Improve the team environment through the implementation of an action plan.
- Apply strong analytical skills to identify trends and implement metrics (e.g., Employee surveys, attrition information) to develop solutions and drive initiatives and programs that improve the internal processes, employee experience, and engagement.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Report and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Support OKRs planning and execution

- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other Senior HR Executive role.
- People-oriented and results-driven
- Experience managing OKRs planning and execution
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
