About the job

Our client in the Engineering Equipment Manufacturing Industry is seeking the services of seasoned Cost Engineers, with relevant Project Management experience. The preferred candidate must be technically oriented with verse exposure within the Oil & Gas Industry.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop project plans for the duration of the project.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour-expense factors.

  
  


• 
  

  Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents relevant to the preparation of cost estimates for projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, clients, and all relevant stakeholders on the development and review of estimates.

  
  


• 
  

  Recommend improvement strategies for enhanced profitability & cost-effectiveness of the Company's products & services.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with the Sales Teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Minimum of BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  
  


• 
  

  5 - 10 years of cognate experience within the Oil & Gas Industry.

  
  


• 
  

  Relevant project management experience is desired.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with the use of relevant software & Microsoft Office tools.
