Job Summary:


This position incumbent will manage and lead a team of people in development, performance of trucks in the fleet to produce an efficient running fleet, maximizing service, performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Preparation and implementation of annual revenue Budget for the trucks under Warri jurisdiction.

  • Identify and recommend actions that can generally enhance the effective use and control of group fleet.

  • Supervisory oversight responsibilities over Journey Managers/Fleet Managers to follow ERP operational procedures and other laid down processes.

  • Follow up with Maintenance Unit on trucks under maintenance to ensure optimal usage of trucks in fleet

  • Build and manage customer service initiatives to support retail & S/D and Third-Party customers deliverables and avert service failure.

  • Engage relevant departments on dispute resolution on shortages and recommendation of drivers to Admin/ HR for necessary disciplinary measures ad replacement.

  • Develop workable salvage operations and initiatives with relevant internal and external stakeholders to reduce TAT of accidented trucks.

  • Ensure Fleet/Journey officers adhere strictly to schedules and route destinations of trucks on the highway.

  • Ensure strict compliance and enforcement of existing company policies, procedures, and reporting as it relates to their fleet.

  • Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

  • contribute to training and development of the team and organisation as a whole


 


Requirements


Qualifications and other skill sets.



  • HND / B.Eng. in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related courses.

  • Minimum of 7years in a generalist Logistics role or related industry.

  • Problem solving skill and team spirit.

  • Ability to guide & train others.

  • Good communication ability both verbally and in writing.

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Package
