JOB SUMMARY


The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for:



  • The organisation’s technology infrastructure.

  • The organisation’s information technology and computer systems with duties including assessing current processes, recommending software upgrades, and directing the executive team on the best processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  •  Responsible for the technology architecture of the organisation.

  •  Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.

  •  Run the team of IT engineers within the organisation.

  •  Use technology to improve on the products that the organisation has to offer.

  •  Assist other departments in using technology effectively.

  • Research any new technologies that may potentially increase the organisation’s competitive advantage.

  •  Focus technology on external customers.

  •  Liaise and collaborate with suppliers of technical solutions to enhance product range and customer relations.

  • Ensure that product architecture supports the priorities of the business.

  • Monitor web analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals.

  • Build processes for data protection and quality assurance.

  • Make executive decisions regarding the organisation’s technological needs.

  • Work closely with Finance, Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.

  • Develop and implement all internal communication systems, including email and messaging.

  • Study information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Plan and strategise to reduce costs and improve profits.

  • Ensure the organisation’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.

  • Share technological visions, opportunities, and risks company wide.

  • Represent the organisation at conferences and networking events.


REQUIREMENTS



  • A first degree in Computer Science and Technology or any other relevant discipline from an accredited institution. Master’s degree in a related discipline.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience. At least 5 years of operational experience at an executive level.

  • Relevant professional certifications.

  • Critical thinker, motivated, and has relevant industry knowledge.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills.
