Description



  • Vectar is looking for an experienced Operations Manager building startups, strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial attitude, reporting to the CEO.

  • As a proven result-driven person, the Operations Manager will be leading the team for stellar performance.

  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of solar and renewable energy products or willingness to learn fast, and a proven track record in implementing successful growth strategies and leading teams.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Plans and oversees strategic, operational, and administrative programs, projects, and/or services of broad significance to the organization

  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.

  • Provides strategic advice and recommendations to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures within the specified functional area of focus.

  • Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal reporting systems and procedures for the organization or business entity, within specified functional area of operation, as applicable to the specified functional area of focus.

  • Manages and/or provides day-to-day operations and leadership to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate to the position.

  • May represent the organization to governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and/or the general public; may represent the principal executive at various community and/or business meetings, as assigned.

  • The role covers risk management, people management, work management, resource management as well as being in synchronization with clients and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the faultless execution of projects

  • Ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget

  • Oversee finance activities and operations including reporting .

  • Ensure quality assurance on all products before reaching customers and ensure that they are well packaged and delivered appropriately

  • Ensure end to end logistics compliance of products to customers

  • Oversee internal development with software and hardware teams

  • Coordinate team for grant applications and business development

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Requirements

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience, skills and qualification:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Management or any equivalent/related courses. A Master’s degree is desirable.

  • At least 2 years of Operations Management experience – preferably of a startup

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and working with corporate departments and operation teams

  • Executive presence - polished, professional, and able to communicate with all levels of employees and executives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to effectively communicate ideas to internal and external partners of various backgrounds and levels.

  • Collaboration skills - able to effectively work with others of diverse roles, levels, and backgrounds.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.

  • Problem solver - can identify the problem quickly and find a solution

  • Data-Driven Decision making - quick and apt decision-making is expected
