The Role
- LiveScore Group is looking for a Sportsbook Product Manager to help shape our online sportsbook products in Nigeria.
- The successful candidate will bring considerable experience and knowledge crafting exceptional betting experiences for African football fans. You empathise with and have a deep understanding of the psychology of all different user groups; what excites, what frustrates and what we can do to differentiate ourselves from the crowd.
- An avid sports fan with a depth of product experience, you must be able to work both independently and through effective collaboration. Your product knowledge should be complemented with a thorough understanding of sports betting, odds making and the wider online and offline industry in Nigeria.
- You will be benchmarking our products within the competitive landscape, assisting with the creation of development requirements, managing all local testing and launch processes as well as collaborating with the wider product teams, marketing, insights, customer service and trading groups.
- While this role is based in our Lagos office, it may involve some travel to our other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuous scouting of the African Sportsbook competitive landscape, assessing value and relevance of new initiatives for our business
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our offering and own them from inception through to delivery, monitoring performance and driving feedback and continuous improvement
- Lead local User Acceptance Testing (alignment with delivery team and area product manager)
- Deep collaboration with fellow product team members, operational and trading teams and senior commercial stakeholders
- Co-ordinate the efforts of our 3rd party partners in your area, using your expertise to help shape their contribution to our products
- Internal product advocate; showcasing ideas, improvements and gathering feedback from as wide a section of the business as possible
- Using data to make informed decisions
- Ensuring customer feedback is captured and fed into roadmap decisions
- Providing insights and recommendations to other areas of the business concerning complementary sports media products
- Keeping on top of relevant emerging trends and technologies.
Key Skills / Experience / Knowledge
- Resident / Right to work in Nigeria
- 5+ years’ experience working on digital product development
- 3+ years’ experience working in a senior position within a sports betting organisation
- Proven ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams and of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment autonomously.
- Highly organised and efficient, able to manage many tasks simultaneously without losing effectiveness
- Sound technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills with both operational, technical, and commercial stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent English language skills in both written and verbal form.
