Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations
- Provide management and financial accounting support which includes posting in the general ledger
- Prepare and reconcile Profit and Loss and Balance sheet reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Assist in preparation of annual tax returns and other regulatory submissions
- Provide accurate, understandable, timely information to support management decisions, including analysis and recommendations
- Manage relationship with external stakeholders, ensure that appropriate reports and documentations are submitted to all relevant authorities.
- Keep a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and assist with audit preparations.
- Prepare cost analyses by interpreting projects' financial data and information.
- Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
- Research market trends and project construction-related price increases/decreases
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Keep abreast with both the construction and accounting industry
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- First Degree with 5 years experience in similar position and minimum of Skill level of ICAN examination.
- Analytical and detail oriented with high level of financial accuracy
- Should display excellent business acumen and the ability to minimize production costs through efficient accounting
- Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures
- Familiarity with Peachtree accounting software
- Working knowledge of the construction industry
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
