Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities an animator is expected to undertake in their position:
- Responsible for the creative design process from concept to completion, including but not limited to, new business proposals, digital advertising, social media, print, website, logos, and other promotional/marketing materials
- Creating and delivering motion graphics for various media
- Accurately use company branding assets (incl. Colors, fonts, etc.) to:
- Develop completed and high-quality animations, in a timely manner
- Develop expressive images and video for Company while working with other creatives
- Advise best practices throughout the design projects for example:
- Common errors to point out in the design and animation QA processes.
- Work with a wide range of media, after effects, graphic design, and animation software
- Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Adhere to voice and messaging specifications for animated pieces
- Accept and work with feedback to create on-brand deliverables at every stage of work
- Working with art and creative teams to select audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design
- Editing video footage and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics
- Staying up to date on the latest graphic design techniques
- Bringing stories to life using illustrations, animations, motion graphics, or infographics to create engaging content of the company’s product.
- Basic video editing & photography, shooting and editing interview videos and images.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, and voice in accordance with brand guidelines and continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency andtest graphics across various media and amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Graphic Designs, Fine Arts, 3D Animation, or a related creative field OR three years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in computer animation programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and Maya, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of two years Proven experience in both animations and graphic designs
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Must have a strong portfolio of illustrations, graphics or other related work across several creative projects
- Strong analytical and technical skills along with artistic talent
- Time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of layouts, animation fundamentals, special effects, and typograph.
