Job Description



  • Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.

  • Develop recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations.

  • Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitchbooks.

  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients to expand the business.

  • Perform due diligence, research analysis (economic outlook, sector report, equity note, Daily market report) and documentation of transactions.

  • Create presentations for client portfolios.

  • Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news.

  • Understand and maintain all existing models related to assigned sector and market coverage.

  • Initiate new models that the unit does not currently have and other relevant models for analyzing Nigeria's macroeconomic conditions.

  • Contribute to the half-yearly and quarterly strategy and outlook reports. Produce periodic macroeconomics and investment-related reports for domestic and offshore based investors.

  • Produce insightful reports on new policies and/or initiatives from the FGN, CBN, DMO, and other economic managers.

  • Participate in the company's roadshows, conference calls, and telemarketing.

  • Complete and respond to bespoke and ad-hoc client requests.


Requirements



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or business background, particularly on the quantitative side

  • B.Sc or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel and power-point.

  • Finance related Professional Qualification is an added advantage.

  • Ability to work cross functionally to drive business initiatives

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and networking skills.

  • Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.

  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.

  • A flexible approach to meet changing needs and deadlines

  • Self‐motivated, excellent attention to details and enjoys working in a team

  • Enthusiasm and commitment are essential to complete activities.
