Role Summary

We are looking for solutions-oriented senior accountants to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. They will be working in line with senior management in making key business decisions by analyzing and presenting key financial data in form of reports, developing, and implementing strategies to reduce businesses' operational costs and ensure business growth.

The senior accountant's responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, business data analytics and reporting, business data analytics and Reporting, finance cost monitoring and tracking, general ledger analysis, accounts reconciliations and mapping.

To be successful in this role as a Senior Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Nigerian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and be able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting 


• Management Accounting and Reporting 


• Finance Cost Monitoring and Tracking 


• Shared Cost Collation and Distribution 


• Full fledge accounting support and guidance to operating companies


• Coordinate teams of accountants and officers 


• Ensure the accuracy of entries, postings, ledgers and sub-ledgers


• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Group Executive Director, Finance

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or any similar fields


• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience


• Professional certification in accounting such as ACA or ACCA is mandatory.


• Strong financial analysis skills.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel and other applications related to finance and accounting


• Must be an outstanding communicator (both written and verbal), and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment


• Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinates

Additional Information

• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
