The Compliance Officer monitors and ensures adherence to supplies and orders, defined standards and operating procedures by the purchase department.
The jobholder patrols and monitors the activities of supplies across assigned locations, drives and ensures strict compliance with company standards for operational excellence; escalates issues, threats or infractions and engages appropriate officers for prompt resolution; and provides reports and updates on assigned locations.
Responsibilities
Draft and revise company policies
Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk
Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess an ND / OND in any discipline
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a retail setting.
