A General Manager for a dredging and construction company located in Oniru is urgently needed
Requirement:
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Reviewing designs to ensure that they comply with government regulations and standards for safety, materials, and construction techniques
- Overseeing the installation of new equipment as well as repairs to existing equipment
- Ensure all systems are in place for the commencement of the dredging project through planning, monitoring, and execution from the award of work to the completion of the project.
- Monitoring budgets and making adjustments when necessary to meet spending goals
- Conducting analysis to determine the difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions.
- Keep a track of Project expenditure and ensure that it is within the budget by regular monitoring of the actual v/s budget.
- Identifying and posting key personnel on board operations according to the project requirement to ensure the best production and timely completion of the project
- Deployment of dredgers as per the schedule of the respective projects to meet the client’s requirements operationally
- Ensure all production-related equipment’s functioning properly and identify the defects and get them rectified through the Tech dept.
- Coordinate with the project manager, master, and clients on dredging methodology, the progress of projects, and schedules.
- Organize a survey team in coordination with Port to carry out pre-, post-, and check surveys, get the chart prepared, and monitor progress physically.
- Tendering Support—Inspections and Production Estimates:
- Carrying out site/Dredger inspections and assessing the execution capability and risk
- Preparation and submission of a detailed visit report for tender evaluation.
Requirement:
- Degree / Diploma in Nautical Science, working experience as a Dredge Master
- Important Areas of Responsibility (Key Deliverables /Accountabilities)
- 10 - 15 experience in the Marine and dredging industry
