Job Description



Responsibilities

Take charge of operational account management activities within the business unit including but not limited to:



  • Reporting all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with the company’s Finance policy and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal control/audit requirements.

  • Generating accurate reports and analyses from operational financial transactions in line with agreed timelines.

  • Daily reconciliation of Sales Figures and payments across all branches and channels.

  • Management of cash books

  • Managing Products Costing and Pricing, in line with Market changes.

  • Preparation of Monthly Income Statements and generating insights for improved business decisions.

  • Implement and monitor Compliance and Profitability across all channels.

  • Accounting for Stock movements and conducting monthly stock counts

  • Reconciling Ledger stock balances with monthly physical stock count figures.

  • Managing the organization’s obligations to suppliers.

  • Reconcile financial statements, while identifying and addressing discrepancies.

  • Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.

  • Tracking the organization’s expenses and processing refunds.

  • Develop and Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets.

  • Managing the company’s accounts payable and receivable.


Requirements



  • B.Sc Accounting or related fields. An added qualification/certification will be an advantage

  • 3 - 7 years work experience.

  • Proof of Experience working as an Accountant/Bookkeeper in a similar retail business is a MUST.

  • Thorough understanding of the principles of Accounting & Financial Management.

  • Strong MS Excel Skills.

  • Understanding of Accounting softwares and tools

  • Flexibility, and adaptation to a variety of work situations

  • Highly organized and significant ability to multi-task.
