Position Summary
Accountabilities:
- Update, revise, and maintain the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other quality documents.
- Ensure that quality control objectives and standards are followed.
- Coordinate with the team and implementation of SOP’s, execution of Protocol’s, collecting the data’s for preparing the Report’s.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify Analytical reagent availability required for Testing, Equipment readiness, Utilities, Personal Protective Equipments for Hygiene practices, manpower availability based on production plan and take corrective actions as required.
- Perform analytical tests in the laboratory as assigned by the Shift in-charge /Production Head and immediately report any problems with tests, equipment or results to the Shift in-charge /Production Head
- Follow all Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as outlined in the Laboratory Quality Assurance Manual.
- Perform laboratory administrative duties by receiving samples from customers as needed, calculating and
- recording analytical results in the appropriate log book, data entry in the System, documenting QA/QC requirements.
- Knowledge in microbiology and chemistry and experience in sampling and testing.
- Provide on the Job trainings to existing and new personnel as required.
- Be part of the investigation team to investigate for market complaints and out of specifications.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and compliance is maintained as required..
- Coordinate with cross functional department for materials and process requirement to achieve budget plan.
- Participate in activities related to Preventive Maintenance and Safety
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.
- Other Duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in sciences
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Distillery/Sugar Industry as a Lab Chemist.
