Job Summary
- An accounting personnel whose responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in coordination and direction of budgets, financial planning and forecasting.
- Assist in the analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports and presenting findings to the board.
- Assist in transactional tasks and help make good financial decisions.
- Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
- Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
- Assist Carrying out business modelling and risk assessment.
- Ensure invoicing and accounts receivables.
- Assist in driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Compliance returns.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank, suppliers, customer ledgers and intercompany accounts: to ensure all accounts are accurate.
- Participate in departmental cost analysis.
- Advise on tax and treasury issues.
- Participate in inventory process and ad hoc finance work requirements.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting.
- Professional Qualification ACCA desirable.
- MBA would be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of (4) years working experience in finance and accounts (preferably retail industry)
- Experience in using accounting software such as Sage 200 (not mandatory) as training would be given.
