Job Description
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and periodic budgeting of company operating expenses
- Preparation of monthly performance report for the Lead Partner
- Preparation of account receivables and all bank transactions
- Bank reconciliation and generation of financial statement report
- Preparation of all Tax & Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) Schedules and ensuring prompt remittance/maintenance of all tax files.
- Payroll Administration
- Preparation and processing of payment vouchers in the firm.
- Generation of invoices for client transactions and monitoring client receivables.
- Daily posting of payments & receipts into respective ledgers
- Maintenance of records systems in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)/ International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Knowledge of Simple Accounting software package (i.e QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Skilled in the preparation of Financial Statements and reports
- Knowledge of Nigerian Accounting Standards, Tax Laws and Practices
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Problem analysis and solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualification
- Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, UK (ACCA) or any other recognised professional accounting body is essential.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in accounting or finance operations [middle-level role
