Job Objective
To ensure all production and laboratory processes meets set specifications in a hygienic and safe environment.
Job duties
- Prompt analysis of all raw materials, water samples and finished product assigned for you to do.
- Prompt internal calibration of weighing scales and other equipment in the laboratories and production floor as assigned.
- Maintain GMP, GLP, GHK in the factory and among personnel.
- Communicate all cases of non-conformance to production process and results to team lead.
- Monitor temperature and humidity of the factory.
- Carry out online checks at set intervals.
- Prompt quarantining and approval, as the case may be, for raw materials and finished products. Ensure always that the right batch codes of raw materials are used for the production.
- Ensure the finished product carry correct and legible information on its packaging materials.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals for the cleaning crew is properly kept to avoid cross contamination.
- Random check of finished products at evacuation to ascertain the state before they are moved to the warehouse and before it goes outbound from the factory for distribution
- Prompt compilation and documentation of results of analysis.
- Participate in safety, health and environmental procedures.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the team lead or/and the QA Manager
- It is believed that you have acquired adequate training and knowledge to help you function in this capacity. In Doubt of any of the above duties, please ask. Ignorance is in no way an excuse for any laboratory/production process and safety non-conformity.
- Ensure you adhere to all requirements as concerns the policies on quality and food safety in achieving overall set objectives.
- Ensure data are used or processed for the purpose set for such data and ensure absolute confidentiality while processing or using personal data. Get the consent of the data subject before collecting, processing, and using data.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Food Science Technology
- At least 3 years work experience in a similar role.
- Relevant professional qualification (IPAN/ASQ) would be an added advantage
- Excellent Quantitative analysis.
- Computer expertise especially in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
