This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets
Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media
Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in layout and artwork of the graphic elements on the website – working cooperatively with the E-Commerce Editor to ensure a consistent ‘voice’ is implemented
Creates and tests landing pages for Menards.com
Utilizes an understanding of contemporary web trends and techniques in design of engaging web elements
Understand target audience and apply design strategy to layouts
Answer emails in a professional manner
Understand brand and retail strategies
Maintenance of Menards.com homepages and seasonality designs
Daily use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop to complete tasks
Other tasks as assigned by the E-Commerce General Manager or Chief Merchant
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
2-4 years of experience in graphic design
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
Portfolio of work
Experience:
Graphic Design: 2 years (Required)
Typography: 1 year (Required)
Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Required)
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver: 2 years (Preferred)
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong portfolio demonstrating strong sense of composition, typography, and layout skills.
Mac proficient.
Strong knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects.
