Job Description



The Program Operation Associate provides daily operational support to the organization and manages the nonprofit's effectiveness strategy, program operations, communications, grantmaking, and donor and community outreach. This role supports the nonprofit's grantmaking activities, builds and maintains external relationships to advance the nonprofit's cause, conducts research, and handles other administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities



  • Create promotional materials for public awareness of charitable initiatives.

  • Manage nonprofit communications by creating and responding to emails and disseminating information across social media platforms.

  • Maintain familiarity with best practices in nonprofit capacity-building and organizational effectiveness.

  • Create strategic content for nonprofit stakeholder engagement.

  • Support program goals and priorities in coordination with other internal program stakeholders.

  • Support donor programs, fundraising initiatives, and grant management processes.

  • Research potential grant opportunities and develop strategies for preparing a well-structured grant application.

  • Coordinate various activities for multiple grantmaking initiatives, including contributing to strategy, implementation logistics, internal and external communication, and evaluation;

  • Create and analyze program effectiveness metrics data and generate corresponding reports and recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare various written materials, including draft correspondence, strategy updates, reports, and other related materials.


Qualifications, Experience & Competencies



  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • 1 - 3 years of professional work experience required.

  • A combination of relevant education and/or work experience will be considered

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computing, analytical, and research skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • Demonstrate initiatives for optimal organizational benefit and outcomes.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit management and grantmaking due diligence preferred.

  • A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of and commitment to the nonprofit's mission.

  • Proactive work style and ability to receive and act on feedback.

  • Resourceful and able to work independently.
