Job Description
ENGIE Energy Access is seeking a Flying Mini-Grids Construction Officer to work closely with the Global Mini-Grids Design and Construction Manager and to temporarily support the country Technical Managers of MySolGrid during construction phases. The role is to be a Centre of Expertise related to construction processes, KPI and Field inspections.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Management of project execution (design, EPC tender, negotiation, contract, progress supervision, budget, planning, HSE, KPIs…)
- Contracting with EPC or manufacturers
- Collaboration and synergies with EEA (procurement, logistics)
- Technical support for commissioning (direct point of contact)
Knowledge and skills
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in project management (in an EPC company)
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (DC/DC, DC/AC, & AC/DC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Experience in mini-grid projects
- Commissioning of a certain number of Hybrid installation
- Experience in tendering phase
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills (English & French)
- Collaborative nature
- Ability to travel 80% of the time
Qualifications:
- License degree in electrical engineering
