We seek to fill the below position.


Tasks and responsibilities



  • Create and implement social media strategies to share organization’s key messages and engage target audiences.

  • Lead the public relations and communications team by drafting, proof-reading, editing, and formatting content for email campaigns, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, etc., regarding fundraising, events and marketing campaigns.

  • Devise and develop print and/or electronic promo resources to encourage donor engagement/improve fundraising efforts/inspire individuals to join our volunteer programs.

  • Compose clear, professional copy in styles that will be crafted for different types of audiences. Content types may include (among others): web stories, longer features, digital/multimedia features, op-eds, marketing collateral, technical documents, and other written material.

  • Give editorial guidance to researchers, scientists, and other communications staff and provide editing support as needed.

  • Manage the ongoing update and maintenance of key marketing materials, including the annual report, powerpoint slide deck, fact sheets and web collateral.

  • Employ web, social media, reader feedback, and other data to inform content strategy decisions.

  • Assess the effectiveness of implemented communications efforts by sourcing and analyzing data related to website traffic, social media metrics, and/or email campaign analytics.

  • Write and present reports based on the acquired data.

  • Build a contact database of journalists, press, media outlets, and/or potential sponsors.

  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualification and Competencies



  • 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit communications, digital communications, marketing, project management, or similar roles.

  • A degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or another related field.

  • Experience with managing webinars and/or live events on social media platforms and TV or radio sessions.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Experience in SEOs, Google Ads/Google Analytics/Hootsuite.
