Works with maintenance team, to ensure effective upkeep of the facility, and poultry production and processing assets.
Actively involved in the actualization of maintenance emergencies.
Actively involved in the timely repair or replacement of faulty machinery or equipment parts.
Participates in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
Actively involved in the repair, overhaul, and modification of farm equipment within the department.
Documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
Collates required data on the activities of their team which includes but not limited to availability of and reliability of equipment under them, issues all applicable reports and utilize the reports to effect improvements on equipment availability.
Improves the mean time to repair by proactively reporting faulty equipment to the supervisors and managers.
Ensures the quality of work meets the required standard and improves on the mean time between failures of repaired equipment.
Follows work methods, sequences, and ensure use of required tools, complex repairs to the equipment.
Complies with technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures.
Determines the cause of malfunctions of equipment and ensure required repairs are done.
Maintains job work orders; keep record of labor; material, parts, supplies and other records necessary in the repair and maintenance process; control and release of serviced and repaired equipment.
Qualifications
HND / B.Sc in Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing Technology with at least two years working experience as a Technician.
