Job Summary

• The AWS Cloud/Devops Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation.


• A key part of the role is championing and leading infrastructure as code.


• The Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Operations and Devops to build, manage and automate our AWS infrastructure.

Objective Responsibilities

• AWS expertise including provision, manage, and troubleshoot cloud deployments.


• Kubernetes creating and managing clusters, monitoring apps hosted, containers, supporting CI/CD processes (build containers)


• Linux server administration


• Software defined networking including load balancers, proxies, application hosting infrastructure, gateways, routers


• More focused on the deployment side, but will also support the build process.


• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system.


• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems.


• Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products.


• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.


• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions.


• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform.


• Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field.


• Experience: 4-7 years experience in AWS, Linux, containers, clusters, Kubernetes

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Expert with AWS cloud technologies


• Proficient with Bash scripting


• Expert with Kubernetes container orchestration framework


• Expert with common CI/CD practices and pipelines


• Experience managing Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation


• Experience implementing infrastructure monitoring and alerting (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, Icinga, …)


• Source code management with git.
