Duties and Responsibilities    

• Continuous inspection of project sites to ensure a hazard-free environment.


• Assessment and approval of subcontractor safety plans.    


• Verification of tools and equipment to ensure good quality.    


• Promoting safe practices on site.    


• Creating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs.    


• Carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations.    


• Conducting investigations on accidents.    


• Verifying that all safety reports are submitted to related government institutions.    


• Responding to workers safety concerns.    


• Assisting with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.    


• Attending project planning meetings and collaborating with construction/site Manager.    


• Ensure strict compliance with project HSE policy and procedures during pre-commissioning, start up and commissioning of site installations.


• Ensure compliance of Permit to Work System and SIMOPS management systems.    


• Manage all project induction programs.    


• Ensure accurate measurement of HSE performance metrics and their timely reporting.    


• Fulfill emergency response duties as detailed in the emergency response plan.  


• Analyze the HSE data proactively and provide the project management team with clear direction on the areas to focus.    

Requirement & Educational Qualification

• Candidates should possess a BSc / HND in Engineering or relevant degree.      


• Minimum possess 5 years’ experience as a Safety Engineer in an oil & gas company.    


• Professional qualifications in ISO 9001: 2015, CSWIP, AWS, NACE.    


• Have ISPON Level 3 or other relevant certification.
