The IT manager is responsible for overseeing the company's computer systems and networks to ensure that they are running efficiently and effectively. This includes managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, as well as monitoring network performance and security. They will also be responsible for overseeing application development projects and managing the company's cloud environment.

In this role, the IT manager will work closely with other IT professionals and business stakeholders to align technology with the company's goals and objectives. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities.

• Manage and Supervise information technology and computer systems


• Research and evaluate new cloud technologies and services


• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems


• Provide technical support for cloud-based systems


• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations


• Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software


• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT


• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures


• Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems


• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy


• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time


• Audit systems and assess their outcomes


• Regularly file reports on the functioning of the systems and department

Qualifications

Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Competencies)

• First or second degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience


• Between 5 - 7 years of experience as an IT specialist


• Energetic and highly motivated with excellent communication skills.


• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies


• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and network installation


• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems


• Expertise in data center management and data governance


• Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices


• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies and services (eg AWS, Azure, Google Cloud


• Experience with virtualization technologies (eg VMware, Hyper-V)


• Nominal knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language esp Python or Ruby, Java, etc
