Job Description
The Successful candidate will report to the Field Services Operations Coordinator.
What will you be doing?
- Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and Safety - First mindset.
- Support during minor and major overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
- Interact with FS site team leaders during the work execution in a professional way.
- Perform internal progress status reports of the assigned work to support site team leader on communications.
- Follow product guidelines for the works and use records to support it.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- To comply with the management system accordingly to what has been implemented locally for her/his position.
- Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available Wartsila solutions and products to customer.
- Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values, and company policies.
- Be aware of the local work instructions for overhauling components and ensure they are understood and adhered to.
- Provide accurate and timely solutions whilst maintaining a high service quality level across all allocated jobs.
- Liaise closely with the site FS team leader to provide progress status of the assigned work and ensure service deadlines are met.
- Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations and is in line with applicable Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Standards
You will shine in this role when you have
- A formal qualification within Engineering e.g. BEng, HND/HNC.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Wartsila engines and associated products or other related OEMs.
- A proven background within an Engineering/Service environment.
- Sound knowledge of Wartsila quality, safety and environmental skills.
- Pro-active and independent individual with a team player attitude.
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach & practical problem-solving skill.
- IT literate with knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Willingness to learn, develop and gain a broad knowledge of Wartsila products.
