Job Description

• Prepares documents to put out tenders for contractors.


• Project management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors.


• Planning and overseeing building operation/renovation.


• Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives.


• Allocating and managing space in the compound.


• Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards


• Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including, maintenance, handyman, and pool attendant


• Advising on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


• Lease management  Managing building maintenance activities.


• Coordinating cleaning of the pool, parking space, and generator room.


• Analyses utility bills and energy output.


• Purchase insurance coverage for the building.


• Inspect the structure of the building and determine if repairs are needed.


• Evaluate and adjust energy expenditure.


• Advise staff on how to reduce utility bill.


• Implement programs and provide leadership.


• Perform environmental hazard management/planning and remediation.


• Perform facility plant equipment obsolescent planning, budgeting, and replacement.


• Maintain vendor relationship.


• Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issuesas they arise.

Requirements / Competency / Skills

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification.


• Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems.


• Ability to consider institutional standards for sustainability.


• Understanding of institutional master plans.


• Awareness of environmental impact as it relates to chemicals used and fumes.


• Ability to create systematically planned replacement cycles.


• Knowledge In computer useage.
