Job Description



As the Manager - People & Culture, you will closely collaborate with your peers on the Global HR team to use a team-based and agile approach to design and deliver high-quality, scalable and consumer centric people products and services. The Manager - People & Culture will also lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices


Your daily adventures will include:



  • Be part of the global HR Team designing and driving the overall people agenda.

  • Become a trusted partner to our Nigerian Management Teams.

  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Create and drive business impact for key stakeholders and employees, ensuring competitive advantage in FairMoney's existing and future marketplaces.

  • Contribute to the overall success of the business.

  • Create early wins and build a foundation to scale products and initiatives across our organisation.

  • Have fun and understand the start-up mindset and realities.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's/Master's degree, from a Tier-I institute with 5+ years of experience in an HR Manager or an HR Business Partner role, ideally in a fast-paced, hyper-growth global tech environment.

  • Solid leadership experience.

  • Fluent Business English or any other language is a plus.

  • Thorough knowledge of country employment-related laws and statutory requirements, compliance, and policies.

  • Prior experience in compensation & benefits and rewards management.

  • Proficient with Google Workspace, related HR tools, and software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

  • Knowledge of running performance and talent management processes.

  • Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR practices within FairMoney.

  • Change-oriented mindset with an ability to guide leaders through organizational effectiveness, design, and change initiatives.

  • Experience in supporting highly distributed, global teams while working across different time zones and regions.

  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity.

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking.

  • Competence in supporting multiple projects simultaneously with a solid orientation on results.

  • Proven experience in working with and within matrix structures and supporting global teams in a rapidly changing work environment.

  • Must be results-oriented, collaborative, and have a sense of humor and a strong EQ.

Recruitment Process



  • A screening interview with one of the members of the Talent Acquisition team for 30 minutes.

  • Technical interview with the Hiring Manager/Global Head of HR for 45-60 minutes.
