Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take briefs to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications.
- Performing the full range of editing works from splicing to sound balancing; to colour correction and grading.
- Edit raw footage content and cut video sequences to ensure that concepts are translated effectively to the audience.
- Review all edited tapes to identify issues and recommend solutions as required.
- Organise and manage all technical aspects of video recording and editing to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.
- Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy.
- Follow the company’s brand guidelines.
- Undertake video editing, video artwork, post-production, videography, and other work content.
- Responsible for our social media video daily operation, assisting in the completion of video branding standards; video production, and update on the company's website, brand promotional videos, etc.
- Carry out computer edits of video segments on a variety of tape and digital formats.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Person Specification:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must have completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut).
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Other Skills:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven with an ability to work independently and within a team.
