Role and Responsibilities

• The carpenter is responsible for the woodworks related to the fishing operation.


• Construction & repair of trawl doors


• Construction & repair of vessel accommodation


• Constructing form work


• Construction & Installation of doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures


• Quality assessment of woodwork & materials


• Execution of fibre works (polyester resin)


• Execution of works according to technical drawings


• Use of power tools


• Use of bench saws to cut wood according to specification


• Respect the safety rules


• In charge of scheduling and material planning according to job list.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree or Higher Education, minimum of 10 years of experience in carpentry.

• Physically able


• Ability to work independent


• Hand-eye coordination


• Speaks good English


• Dedicated to the work


• Good communicator


• Leadership skills


• Meticulous, disciplined, detail-oriented

Additional Notes:

• Working hours are Monday to Saturday from 08:00 am - 5:00 pm. Based on operational requirement, one may be called up on Sunday.


• The work environment is both outside and inside and requires a level of fitness.
