Role Overview


The fleet service manager is responsible for the company’s bus assets. This role oversees fleet operations to ensure bus availability and efficiency through adherence to maintenance, safety and regulatory requirements for optimal business performance.



  • Essential responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Management and maintenance of TSL Metroline’s fleet.

  • Acts as primary liaison with the maintenance partner(s) and OEM, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on all fleet-related matters.

  • Management of asset budgeting, expenditure control and monitoring.

  • Establishment of adequate workshop processes and practices in line with TSL Metroline’s HSE procedures

  • Development of periodic maintenance reports.

  • Manage the process of fleet presentation, accident reporting, willful damages by drivers, vehicle maintenance and servicing.

  • Ensure all vehicle accidents are accurately recorded and investigated with claim forms submitted to the TSL Metroline’s HSE and Legal Team. Act as primary contact with buses insurers, on fleet repair costing.

  • Manage the processes for obtaining damage estimates, the carrying out of repairs and ensure maximum availability of buses for operational teams.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive adherence program for the company’s fleet.

  • Manage staff in line with TSL Metroline’s Human Resources policies and procedures.


Essential Qualifications



  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a transport company with the last three years in a management role.

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or HND preferably in mechanical engineering or any relevant discipline

  • Membership of relevant professional body.
