Responsibilities

• Create an aesthetically supportive learning environment which fosters inquiry, creativity, thinking and independence which will help your learners meet their learning goals.


• Teach the learners the important rules of reading, writing, and speaking in English, using interesting and diverse methods


• Identify learners with special requirements and create individualized plans


• Assist struggling learners to improve their literacy skills.


• Research new language teaching methods.


• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to promote the learning and implementation of best practices in Literacy instruction.


• Monitor and set targets for the social and academic progress of learners.


• Build trusting relationships with learners, parents, and other staff


• Oversee the learners’ progress by tracking their assignments and exam grades, in order to provide useful feedback.

Requirements

• B.Sc / BA in English Language or English Literature; MSc is a plus


• Previous experience as an English teacher in an International school


• Knowledge of various teaching methods


• Deep understanding of the national English curriculum


• A patient and resilient personality

• A high degree of competency in ICT


• Excellent written, Oral communication and exceptional organizational skill
