Background:
The Restoration of Hope Initiative is a Non-Governmental Organization that was founded in 2012 and began operations in 2015 in the areas of education, protection, WASH, and livelihood. ROHI has helped over 200,000 children in the Northeast to have access to inclusive quality education by establishing infrastructure and boosting the capacity of educational institutions since its inception in 2012. ROHI specializes in education programming, as well as development programming and humanitarian assistance. The North East crisis has increased the number of individuals forced to relocate, hampered access to educational opportunities, heightened security concerns, and demanded the provision of life-saving services. In partnership, ROHI is partnering with Street Child of Nigeria (SCoN) on the education for every child today (EFECT) to provide quality education services, safeguarding and protecting children and ensuring their families have a means of livelihood to take care of basic needs and send their children to school. In line with this and her four-year strategies, ROHI seeks applicants that share our humanitarian objectives and have knowledge and experience in livelihood.
Summary of the Role
The livelihood officer is tasked with ensuring that the livelihood component of the project is implemented by ensuring that beneficiaries are able to startup businesses and sustain means of livelihood established as a result of the organization's support. The livelihood officer is responsible for the daily technical planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of livelihood activities and for ensuring proper coordination with stakeholders. The position is roving among Bama, Dikwa, and Gomboru Ngala and requires fieldwork.

Restoration of Hope Initiative maintains a code of standards of conduct that shall govern the performances of its employees engaged in awarding and administering contracts. No employee, officer, or agent shall participate in the selection, award, or administration of a contract supported/ by donor funds if a real or apparent conflict of interest would be involved. Such a conflict would arise when the employee, officer, or agent, any member of his or her immediate family, his or her partner, or an organization that employs or is about to employ any of the parties indicated above, has a financial or other interest in the firm selected for an award. Disciplinary action will be applied for violations of such standards by ROHI officers, employees, or agents.
