Responsibilities

• Raise poultry to produce eggs meat, supervise as well as coordinate activities of workers engaged in raising poultry, collecting eggs and maintaining facilities on the farm.


• Supervise the cleaning and disinfecting of poultry houses, cages, and nests. Ensure vaccines are placed in drinking water, injected into poultry, or dust air with vaccine powder to vaccinate poultry against diseases.


• Confer with farm hands to ascertain production requirements and discuss the status of equipment and supplies.


• Train and Assign workers to duties, like collecting & candling eggs, feeding as well as vaccinating poultry, crating plus shipping fryers and additionally cleaning fumigating chicken houses.


• Direct maintenance as well as repair of facilities equipment, like chicken houses, automatic feeders, and layer nests.)


• Maintain growth, feed and production records as well as arrange with wholesalers for sale of poultry eggs and birds.


• Prepare worker attendance, egg production, feed consumption, and poultry mortality reports.


• Formulate feeds and supervise the feed mill operations.


• Perform other duties assigned by the CEO and as required by the farm

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Agriculture or any related field


• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience


• Have the wherewithal to work in a fast-paced and pressured environment.


• Age: 28 and above


• Must be a Male.
